Hanovia
About
Hanovia, now operating under the Nuvonic brand as part of the Halma group, has manufactured UV water treatment systems and lamps at its specialist facility in Slough, UK since 1924, making it one of the longest-established UV companies in the world. The company maintains global offices in Charlotte, North Carolina; Shanghai; and Kerten, Germany, and continues in-house UV lamp manufacturing at the Slough headquarters alongside a dedicated UV Application Centre for testing, validation, and process optimization. The PureLine PQ is Hanovia's validated UV system for food and beverage production, featuring FDA-compliant materials, sanitary design for hygienic environments, and independently verified organism reduction performance. The PureLine UVEO employs single-lamp technology with flexible power modulation from 30 to 100 percent for energy-optimized operation, paired with UVGuard and UVShield safety features. The PureLine DC holds the distinction of being the first UV system engineered specifically for dechlorination in food and beverage processes, developed through three years of application research to replace activated carbon and sodium bisulfite dosing with a chemical-free alternative that provides zero water waste and minimal maintenance. All product lines are supported by the UVCare lifetime aftercare program, which covers ongoing performance optimization, system uptime, and maintenance. Hanovia's markets include food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, leisure water, wastewater, and industrial reuse water applications.
