Hammann GmbH
About
Hammann GmbH is a German family-owned company headquartered in Landau, founded in 1997, that develops and manufactures the patented Comprex® pipe cleaning technology. The Comprex® process uses precisely controlled compressed air pulses combined with water to achieve cleaning effects up to 100 times stronger than conventional flushing — while consuming up to 90% less water and reducing cleaning time by up to 80%. Pulse pressure always remains below system operating pressure, making it safe for sensitive piping. Hammann offers seven mobile and stationary units in its Pulse series: Pulse100 Toolclean (for tools, molds, and machines), Pulse300 (industrial systems), Pulse400 (fluid-carrying systems), Pulse500 (hygienic design for food and pharma), Pulse700 and Pulse800 (stationary units for complex and high-standard environments), and Pulse3000 (trailer-mounted for drinking water networks up to DN 350/400). Application sectors span municipal water infrastructure, building services including Legionella remediation and PFAS-contaminated fire suppression systems, industrial cooling circuits and CIP cleaning, and medical endoscope reprocessing via Comprex Medical. The corporate group includes Comprex Service GmbH, Comprex Automation GmbH, Hammann Engineering GmbH, Comprex Medical GmbH, and a North American joint venture in Cincinnati, Ohio established in 2023. Hammann holds five European patents covering the Comprex® process, Modulex, Optimex, and Comprex E technologies.
