H2S Control
About
H2S Control, a division of Heyward Florida Incorporated based in the Orlando area, designs and manufactures hydrogen sulfide odor control systems exclusively for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities. The company offers four complementary product lines covering the full spectrum of vapor-phase H2S concentrations. The HIVON is a plant-level odor neutralization system that vaporizes and distributes HISCENT—a proprietary blend of all-natural essential oils—through a radial air distributor or piped network, handling 1,000+ CFM with no water, fog, or mist. The HIBOCS is a biological air scrubber featuring HIHP-98 high-surface-area synthetic media with a 10-year warranty, designed for lift stations and headworks with high H2S loads using non-proprietary nutrients and offering very low operating costs. The HICARB is a carbon-based up-flow vessel system using site-specific blended media for low-concentration H2S applications, and can be paired with HIBOCS as a polishing stage. The HIVENT is a passive, zero-energy unit that attaches directly to lift station vents, using natural wet-well airflow to neutralize odors with just 3–4 gallons of HISCENT annually. All systems feature corrosion-resistant construction (aluminum or FRP/polypropylene), stainless steel VFD-controlled motors, and carry 3-year component warranties. H2S Control is a member of WEF, FWEA, AWWA, and NRWA.
Key Products
Plant-level vapor-phase odor neutralization system that disperses HISCENT all-natural essential oils via a radial air distributor or piped network at 1,000+ cfm, targeting odors from digesters, sludge holding tanks, and headworks without using water, fog, or mist.
Biological odor control scrubber using HIHP-98 synthetic media to remove vapor-phase H2S at lift stations and treatment plant headworks, featuring 10-year media warranty, non-proprietary nutrients, FRP or polypropylene vessel construction, and VFD-controlled stainless steel motor.
Carbon-based odor control system for low-concentration H2S at sewage lift stations and plant headworks, using site-specific blended media in an up-flow FRP or polypropylene vessel, and can be paired with HIBOCS as a polishing stage for enhanced removal.
Passive vapor-phase odor control unit for wastewater lift station vents that operates with no water or electricity, using natural air flow through the wet well cycle to neutralize odors with 3-4 gallons of HISCENT per year—ideal for responding to odor complaints cost-effectively.
Proprietary blend of all-natural essential oils used by both the HIVON and HIVENT systems to chemically neutralize hydrogen sulfide and other wastewater odors at the vapor phase.
