GSM Engineered Fabrics is a Kingsport, Tennessee-based manufacturer of filter fabrics and dewatering belt equipment for liquid/solid separation, forming, filtering, and conveying applications. Founded by mechanical engineer Scott Cooper, who brings over 40 years of experience spanning pulp and paper operations, OEM equipment manufacturing, and filter fabric companies, GSM maintains a large inventory of belt styles and manufactures products for belt filter presses, gravity belt thickeners, horizontal vacuum filters, vertical filter presses, and general-purpose conveying. Belt Filter Belts and GBT Belts are available in polyester (including hydrolysis-resistant variants), polyester/nylon blends, polypropylene, and polyester/anti-static materials, with weave options spanning satin, spiral, heavy-duty spiral, twill, and plain constructions. Seaming options cover 316L stainless steel clipper, back woven pin, and seamless configurations, with air permeability ratings up to 1,200 CFM and belt widths from 0.5 meters to 6 meters. Horizontal Vacuum Filter Belts come in polypropylene and polyester with twill, twill/broken, and dual-layer weaves up to 3 meters wide by 100 meters long, with seam options including 316L SS, Hastelloy, and Titanium clipper styles.
