GRATT Europa Lda, based in Esposende, Portugal, is the European subsidiary of Gratt Industria e Tecnologia Ambiental — Brazil's largest manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment equipment. The parent company was founded in 1986 by Bernhard Josef Gratt and operates over 81,500 m2 of production area in Capinzal, Santa Catarina, with approximately 1,900 employees and more than 5,000 installed systems worldwide. GRATT's extensive product portfolio for the water and wastewater sector includes dissolved air flotation (DAF) systems — the rectangular GFAD flotator, circular GFAD SE unit, compact UFC flotation cell, and microbubble generators — alongside decanter centrifuges (2-phase) and tridecanter centrifuges (3-phase) for continuous solid-liquid separation. For sludge dewatering, the disc dewatering press (Prensa Desaguadora de Discos) is available in nine models from PDG 100/1 through PDG 370/3, providing low-vibration, low-noise, low-energy operation. The indirect steam-heated disc-type thermal dryer (Secador Termico) operates at 6-10 bar steam pressure with rotary disc shafts for maximum evaporation in a compact footprint with no product-contact contamination. Complete treatment systems include modular water treatment stations (ETA), prefabricated sewage treatment plants (ETE) in horizontal, vertical, and metal configurations, vitrified steel tanks, decanter-digesters, and bridge scrapers. Complementary products cover diffused air aeration, hyperbolic agitators, surface aerators, polymer dosing units (UAP), and mobile skid units. A 1.5 MWp rooftop solar installation and 400 m3 cistern system reflect the company's sustainability commitment.
