Global Castings Pvt. Ltd. (GCPL) is a Kolkata-based Indian foundry established in 2010 under the Shah Group, operating one of the country's largest automated ductile and grey iron casting facilities with 36,000 tons annual capacity across a 520,000 sq ft site in Burdwan, West Bengal. The company specializes in municipal castings for water, sewerage, drainage, telecommunications, and utility infrastructure, manufacturing to EN 124-2 and ASTM load classes from A15 through F900. Their sanitary castings range encompasses square and rectangular manhole covers, circular manhole covers (diameters 415mm to 800mm), recessed covers for aesthetic surface matching, carriageway and telecom covers, gully gratings, catch basin covers, kerb drain covers, surface boxes, and channel gratings. Beyond municipal products, GCPL produces industrial castings, counter weights, railway castings, and ductile iron pipe fittings. The majority of their manhole covers and gratings carry BSI Kitemark certification, supplemented by ICMQ (Italy) and MPA (Germany) approvals, with ISO 9001 quality system certification and ISO 14001 under implementation. Casting capabilities range from 5 kg green sand mouldings to 2-tonne single-piece no-bake (furan) castings. GCPL exports to over 35 countries and has earned multiple export excellence awards from EEPC India and FIEO.
