Glasco UV
About
Glasco UV, LLC is a woman-owned American manufacturer specializing in ultraviolet disinfection systems for water and wastewater treatment, headquartered in Mahwah, New Jersey. With over 1,500 installations worldwide, the company offers four distinct UV system lines. The NONCON 5000 Series employs a non-contact design where UV lamps positioned in air outside the water channel emit germicidal radiation at 254 nm through fluoropolymer (FEP/Teflon) tubes, eliminating lamp fouling and enabling chemical-free disinfection. The Vertical amalgam UV system, first installed in 2003 as the industry's first vertical amalgam system, provides compact footprint operation at 30-inch or 60-inch water levels with streamlined maintenance. The Chambered system uses low-pressure UV lamps with flexible sizing configurations for wastewater applications, in use since the 1980s. The Horizontal channel system immerses lamps directly in wastewater, available as packaged stainless steel channels or concrete-embedded installations, deployed since the 1990s. All three open-channel systems are biologically validated at the Johnstown UV testing center by HydroQual. Glasco UV serves municipal wastewater, drinking water, industrial water, aquaculture, and residential and commercial markets.
