GKD-USA is the American subsidiary of GKD — Gebr. Kufferath AG, a fourth-generation family-owned woven mesh manufacturer founded in 1925 in Düren, Germany. With approximately 800 employees and EUR 123 million in revenue (2024), GKD operates six production sites across four continents including its US facility. The company produces 16 weave types of technical mesh — including square weave, Dutch twilled, plain Dutch, POROMETRIC filtration mesh, and optimized Dutch weave — used as filter media in industrial separation applications. For water and wastewater treatment, GKD manufactures process equipment including filter presses for sludge dewatering, vacuum belt filters for continuous solid-liquid separation, linear screens for screening and classification, and thickeners and clarifiers for solids concentration. The CAPTURION microplastic filter system captures up to 97% of solid particles in road runoff, addressing emerging microplastic regulations. Process belt lines cover dryer, filter, oven, and doublebacker belts for continuous processing. GKD also supplies screening media — perforated plates, polyurethane and rubber panels, and woven heavy mesh — for mining and aggregate operations, plus architectural mesh products including MEDIAMESH and LED-MEDIAMESH for building façades.
