GEA Group is a DAX-listed industrial systems supplier headquartered in Germany, employing over 18,000 people across 98 sites worldwide. Founded in 1920 and based in Düsseldorf, GEA designs and manufactures centrifuge and decanter technology for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment under its Environment division. The company's sludge dewatering centrifuge portfolio includes the environmental Decanter pro (1–120 m³/h throughput, standardized plug-and-play configuration) and environmental Decanter prime (15–300 m³/h, customizable with the GEA summationdrive automatic torque control system). For municipal biosolids processing, GEA offers the biosolids Decanter pro and biosolids Decanter prime, the latter featuring the patented GEA varipond control system that maintains constant solids output even with fluctuating feed conditions. Both biosolids models incorporate GEA EnergyJets weir technology, reducing energy consumption by up to 25 percent. GEA also provides mobile decanter systems housed in sea containers or lorry trailers for temporary sludge treatment, pilot testing, and emergency deployment. The company's product contact surfaces are stainless steel throughout, and all models feature deep-pond bowl geometry optimized for high g-force separation. GEA holds ISO/IEC 27001 and ISA/IEC 62443 certifications and serves food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, dairy, marine, and oil and gas sectors in addition to water and wastewater.
