FUST Lab Co., Ltd.
About
FUST Lab is a Korean deep-tech company headquartered in Seoul with additional offices in Daejeon, Tokyo, and a demonstration facility at Industriepark Höchst in Frankfurt, Germany. Selected as a Deep Tech Pioneer by Hello Tomorrow, the company develops focused ultrasound technology for water treatment, PFAS decomposition, and nano-emulsification. Their flagship water treatment system, CAVITOX, uses focused ultrasonic energy to induce cavitation in liquid, generating localized conditions exceeding 2,000 atmospheres of pressure and 1,000°C temperature along with hydroxyl radicals possessing 2,000 times the oxidizing power of ozone. Unlike conventional advanced oxidation processes that require ozone, hydrogen peroxide, or UV light, CAVITOX requires no chemical additives and achieves PFAS mineralization by cleaving carbon-fluorine bonds—a process confirmed by fluoride ion detection and CO₂ capture data showing pre-treatment levels of 0–400 ppm rising to 1,735 ppm post-treatment. Testing demonstrates ≥99.99% reduction across multiple PFAS compounds including PFOA (668.9→0.192 ppb), PFBA (1,761.7→0.033 ppb), and 6:2 FTS (1,158.3→0.200 ppb). Zebrafish embryo toxicity testing confirmed 2–4× improvement in survival rates after treatment. The CAVITOX DEBREX hardware measures 1360×910×1815 mm, operates at 350–420 kHz with 100W maximum power and 1.1 kW total consumption, and scales from laboratory to industrial wastewater treatment. FUST Lab also manufactures the DEBREX series (DEBREX 50, 100, 500) of nano-emulsification and dispersion equipment for cosmetics, pharmaceutical, battery, and chemical manufacturing.
