FRC, A Sulzer Brand
About
FRC Systems International, part of the Chemtech division of Sulzer since becoming a Sulzer brand, has been designing and manufacturing wastewater treatment equipment since 1979 from its Gainesville, Georgia facility. With nearly 50 years of experience and thousands of dissolved air flotation installations worldwide, FRC specializes in custom-engineered industrial and municipal wastewater treatment systems built from laser-cut stainless steel. The core product line comprises three DAF configurations: the PCL-Series high-rate DAF using crossflow plate packs and in-tank sludge thickening for high-capacity applications; the PCCS-Series compact DAF shipping in a 20-foot ISO container for remote, temporary, or space-constrained sites; and the PWL-Series open-tank DAF with counter-current skimmer, large flotation surface, and sludge dewatering grid for heavy solids loading. All three models handle flow rates up to 2,000+ GPM, with effective flotation areas from 35 to over 3,100 square feet, constructed in stainless steel 304, 316, Duplex, or custom alloys. Supporting pre-treatment equipment includes CPI corrugated plate oil and water separators, rotary drum screens for preliminary solids separation, and F-Series flocculators for chemical conditioning ahead of DAF units. Biological treatment offerings include membrane bioreactors (MBR) for high-quality effluent meeting stringent discharge standards and moving bed bioreactors (MBBR) using suspended carrier media for compact biological treatment. Sludge dewatering is served by belt filter presses and multi-disc screw presses. FRC also provides rental and pilot equipment, jar testing services, system upgrades, and aftermarket spare parts. The engineering team averages over 25 years of experience, and every system is custom-designed with detailed 3D drawing submittals before manufacturing.
