Ford Hall
About
Ford Hall Company, Inc., founded in 1989 and headquartered in Richmond, Kentucky, designs and manufactures the Weir-Wolf automated brush cleaning system for wastewater clarifiers and thickeners. Originally branded the Algae Sweep Automation (ASA) unit, the Weir-Wolf mounts directly to a clarifier's existing skimmer arm and leverages its rotational motion — requiring no additional power source. The system uses over 50 spring-loaded flexibility points and industry-specific brushes of various sizes to remove algae and debris from weirs, baffles, effluent spillways, and launders. All components are stainless steel, each unit weighs under 150 pounds, and installations report no noticeable torque increase. Each Weir-Wolf is custom-engineered for the specific installation, compatible with circular, multi-sided, domed, covered, or open clarifiers and thickeners. The cleaning cycle can be engaged or disengaged for custom scheduling. Ford Hall provides turnkey installation and backs the Weir-Wolf with a 5-year parts warranty (excluding brushes) and a 1-year labor warranty on installations. The first unit was installed at Lexington's West Hickman WWTP, and Weir-Wolf systems now operate across the United States, Canada, and internationally.
