Federal Screen Products
About
Federal Screen Products, based in Mississauga, Ontario, is North America’s leading custom manufacturer of wedge wire screen products, holding NSF-61 certification and performing all fabrication in-house. The company serves water and wastewater treatment, oil and gas, power generation, mining, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and pulp and paper industries with screens fabricated by resistance welding V-shaped profile wire onto support rods—producing self-cleaning surfaces amenable to mechanical scraping, backflushing, or spray-head cleaning. Wedge wire screens are manufactured with slot sizes ranging from 0.001 to 0.625 inches across eleven wire profile configurations (No. 30, 40, 47, 60, 69, 90, 177, Q25, Q35, 118, 130). Construction materials span standard stainless steels (304/304L, 316/316L, 321, 410S) through high-performance alloys including Hastelloy C-276, Duplex, Super Duplex, Alloy B3, Alloy 20, and Monel 400. Core product lines include wastewater fine and coarse screens that remove solids, rags, and debris as the first element of filtration at treatment plants; intake screens for raw water withdrawal; media retention nozzles for filter underdrain systems; vessel internals for process separation; strainer baskets; support grids for media retention; resin traps for ion exchange systems; and flat panels and sieve bends. The Archer Underdrain, Federal Screen’s newest product, is engineered for optimal filtration and backwash efficiency in gravity filter beds. Wastewater screens are available in weld-ring and flanged end configurations with coarse-to-fine slot progressions for multi-stage treatment plants.
