Electro-Chemical Devices
About
Electro-Chemical Devices (ECD), founded in 1977 and headquartered in Anaheim, California, manufactures liquid analytical process instrumentation for demanding industrial environments. The company pioneered the industry's first two-wire conductivity transmitters at its inception and has since expanded into microprocessor-based universal transmitter and intelligent sensor platforms. ECD's current product architecture centers on the S80 Intelligent Sensor, which uses interchangeable electrode cartridges that snap into a single sensor body to measure over 50 parameters including pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and specific ions. Sensors pair with the T80 Universal Transmitter or the X80 Hazardous Location Transmitter for explosive-atmosphere installations. Online process analyzers span chlorine monitoring with the FC80, colorimetric analysis with the CA-6, TOC measurement, UV254 absorbance via the UV6 and UV80, sodium with the NA6, plus alkalinity, sulfide, fluoride, and oil-in-water with the OIW80. Dissolved oxygen is covered by the OXY7 portable meter and a ppb-level DO analyzer. Turbidity and suspended solids measurement comes through the Triton TR80 and TR82. The LQ800 Multi-Channel Controller integrates multiple measurement loops, while the Sentinel platform provides sensor diagnostics and predictive replacement alerts. Rounding out the portfolio are portable and stationary wastewater samplers, benchtop instruments including the AL800 photometer and COD thermoreactors, and OEM sensor options. ECD holds ISO 9001 and IECEx certification and serves municipal water and wastewater, oil and gas, power generation, chemical processing, semiconductor, food and beverage, pulp and paper, mining, steel, aerospace, and military markets through a worldwide representative network.
