Ecomembrane S.p.A., headquartered in Gadesco-Pieve Delmona, Cremona, Italy, is a global manufacturer of membrane gasometers, digester covers, and PVC-coated fabric membrane systems for biogas, biomethane, CO2, and hydrogen storage. The company traces its origins to Agrisilos Srl, founded by Luigi Spedini in 1970, which pioneered membrane gasometer technology in 1982 when commissioned by ENEA to replace stainless steel gasometers. Ecomembrane was formally established in 2000 and now holds 10 patents, the most of any gasometer manufacturer worldwide, with production facilities in both Italy and the United States (Ecomembrane LLC). Their patented 3Master triple-membrane gasholder provides superior insulation and gas separation, while the 2Master double-membrane system serves as the industry standard for biogas storage. Dome-type gas holders include the Cupola M3 (triple membrane) and Cupola M2, with the Heat Shield variant reducing digester heat loss by 50 percent. The company launched the world's first pressurized double-membrane CO2 gasometer (CO2 Master) in 2022 and installed the first hydrogen gasometer prototype (H2 Master) in 2023.
