About
Ecobase (에코베이스) is a Korean environmental technology company founded in November 2001 and headquartered in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, designated as a Public Sewerage Technology Assessment Specialist Organization. The company develops and manufactures portable automatic water samplers and sewer CCTV inspection robots for water quality monitoring and wastewater facility diagnostics. Its flagship EB-140 auto sampler is the industry's most compact at 140mm diameter by 220mm height and just 3.5 kg — engineered to fit standard Korean sewer manholes that are inaccessible to conventional samplers. The device supports both composite and grab sampling with programmable intervals from one minute to 100,000 minutes, a built-in rechargeable battery providing up to 30-day standby life, Bluetooth smartphone control via a dedicated app for real-time quality management data input, and configurable bottle arrangements from 24 by 500 mL up to single 12 L capacity. Additional sampler models include the EB-350 standard unit, EB-380 extended-capacity unit, and EB-350 CSO for combined sewer overflow monitoring, all with IoT connectivity options. The ECO-ROBOT is a sewer pipe CCTV inspection system for condition assessment, inflow and infiltration detection, and illegal discharge identification. Ecobase's samplers are deployed in Korea's KOWAS wastewater surveillance system for wastewater-based epidemiology monitoring of pathogens including COVID-19 and influenza, where a single two-person team can manage 10 sampling points that would otherwise require 20 personnel using manual grab methods.
