Eco Fresh Carbon (branded Ecofresh) is an Indian activated carbon manufacturer based in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, specializing in coconut shell-based steam-activated carbon products. Founded by a director with experience in the activated carbon field since 1997, the company operates two on-site laboratories conducting quality testing to ASTM standards on both raw materials and finished goods. Ecofresh produces granular activated carbon (GAC) across an extensive range of iodine adsorption values from 600 to 1700 IV and mesh sizes from 4×8 to 80×325, with standard ash content below 5% and ball pan hardness of 98%. The product portfolio includes the G Series (standard GAC in grades G600 through G1700), AW Series (acid-washed GAC with pH 4-7 for sensitive applications), PAC Series (powdered activated carbon at 1000-1100 IV with methylene blue value of 220), and the specialized Gold Carbon line (6×12 mesh, 1000 IV, branded as GOLD CARBON for CIP, CIL, and CIC gold recovery with low attrition and platelets content specifications). Air and gas treatment carbons feature CTC values of 60-65 with iodine values of 1100-1150 IV for odor and pollutant removal. The company also offers impregnated carbon grades with KL+KOH, phosphoric acid, or NaOH at 900-1000 IV and high-activity grades achieving BET surface areas of 1600-1800 m²/g.
