Dow Water Solutions
About
Dow Water Solutions, now part of DuPont Water Solutions following the 2019 Dow-DuPont merger, manufactures the FILMTEC line of reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane elements — one of the most widely deployed membrane brands in the global water treatment industry. The product portfolio includes brackish water RO elements (BW30 series, LE, XLE, HR, XFR, and the newly launched FilmTec Prime RO line offering up to 20% reduced energy consumption and 60% improved permeate quality), seawater RO elements (SW30HR, SW30HRLE, SW30XLE, SW30ULE, SEAMAXX, and SW30XHR-440 achieving 99.82% salt rejection), tap water RO elements (TW30, BW60), nanofiltration elements (NF270, NF90), heat-sanitizable and sanitary-grade elements (HSRO, RO-FF series for pharmaceutical and food applications), semiconductor-grade elements (SG30, SG30LE for ultrapure water), and small commercial SW30 elements in 2.5-inch and 4-inch diameters. Proprietary technologies include iLEC interlocking endcaps (featured on select elements like the SW30HRLE-440i) for reduced O-ring leak risk and lower operating costs, and FT30 polyamide thin-film composite membrane chemistry with a pH cleaning range of 1–13. FILMTEC membranes carry NSF/ANSI Standard 58 certification and FDA compliance (21 CFR 177.2550). DuPont also provides WAVE design software for system configuration. Applications span municipal drinking water, seawater desalination, industrial process water, power generation, semiconductor ultrapure water, and food and dairy processing.
