DOD Labs, A Division of DOD Technologies, Inc.
About
DOD Labs, a division of DOD Technologies, Inc. (founded 2003, headquartered in Cary, Illinois), provides PFAS water testing kits and analytical laboratory services for drinking water, wastewater, landfill leachate, and soil sample analysis. The parent company manufactures the ChemLogic colorimetric gas detection system — a line of fixed-point and portable monitors that detect over 125 toxic, corrosive, and flammable gases down to parts-per-billion levels using chemically-impregnated tape cassettes. The ChemLogic family includes the CL1 single-point and CL2 dual-point detectors (NEMA 4X enclosures, 4-20 mA output, up to 150 ft sample distance), the CL4 four-point and CL8 eight-point systems (8-inch color touchscreen, up to 300 ft sample distance, OPC and BMS integration, TWA tracking), and the CLPx portable unit. Controllers scale up to 128 monitoring channels. Detectable gases span hydrides (arsine, phosphine, silane), mineral acids (HF, HCl, HBr, H2SO4), oxidizers (chlorine, fluorine, NO2), diisocyanates (TDI, MDI, HDI), and specialty compounds (phosgene, hydrazine, HCN). DOD Labs specifically offers four PFAS water test kits testing 18, 25, or 40 analytes using EPA Methods 533, 537.1, and 1633, with reporting limits down to 2 ppt and turnaround as fast as 2 days. Kits include collection bottles, gloves, instructions, and pre-paid FedEx return shipping; results are posted to a secure online portal. EPA-validated kits are available for regulatory reporting. TNI/NELAP and ISO 17025 accreditation are pending. Leadership includes Zach Wood, Ph.D. (chemistry, USC) for PFAS analysis and R&D, and Chris Otolski, Ph.D. (physical chemistry, University of Kansas) as Laboratory Director.
