Discflo Pumps
About
Discflo Corporation manufactures specialty pumps based on its patented Discpac boundary-layer viscous drag technology, which operates on fundamentally different principles than centrifugal, positive displacement, gear, or lobe designs. Founded over 40 years ago and headquartered in the San Diego area, the company serves nine core industries: oil and gas, food and beverage, wastewater, pharmaceutical, mining, pulp and paper, general industrial, chemical processing, and specialty applications. The Discpac design eliminates tight internal tolerances, producing laminar, non-emulsifying flow that prevents product damage while handling fluids with up to 90 percent solids content, 80 percent entrained gas, and viscosities reaching 200,000 cPs. The product lineup spans close-coupled, horizontal, multistage, cantilever, submersible, and sump-and-dry-pit configurations, alongside sanitary pumps meeting 3-A standards, self-priming systems, API-610 heavy-duty models for petrochemical service, glass-lined variants for extreme corrosion resistance, and the P6 PolyMix sludge dewatering system. Disc Mixer units apply the same boundary-layer principle for polymer and lime mixing. Every pump offers dry-run and deadhead tolerance without damage, and the company provides the online AutoSelect tool for rapid specification. Discflo holds ISO 9001:2015, CE, ATEX, and Saudi Aramco certifications, and all products carry a Made in America designation.
Key Products

Horizontal disc pumps with no close tolerances and laminar flow for abrasive slurries, viscous fluids, and gas-entrained applications.
Multiple Discpac stages in series for moderate-to-high total dynamic head applications requiring staged pressure control.
Cantilever-design pumps with seals and bearings above the liquid line for tank and sump applications handling abrasive slurries.
3-A sanitary and USDA-compliant disc pumps with CIP/SIP capability for pharmaceutical and food processing shear-sensitive fluids.
Submersible disc pumps handling digester sludge, toxic slurries, and nuclear waste with up to 80% solids and viscosities to 200,000 cPs.
Heavy-duty pumps for sewage, sludge, and slurry applications available in ductile iron, stainless steel, Hastelloy, and other metallurgies.
Vacuum-based priming system with check valves and vent configurations eliminating manual priming for intermittent flow applications.
Alternative configuration disc pumps for abrasive, high-solids, and gas-entrained fluid handling with pulsation-free laminar flow.
Parallel-disc mixers using boundary-layer principle for non-contact, pulsation-free mixing of lime, polymers, and delicate solids in water treatment.
Sludge and slurry dewatering system using disc technology for polymer mixing and solids concentration.
Pumps with Vitco dual-coat glass lining resisting corrosion, abrasion, thermal shock, and Struvite build-up for acid slurries and chemical service.
Extra heavy-duty disc pumps meeting API-610 specification for oil, petrochemical, and chemical service up to 8,000 GPM and 1,200 ft head.
