Chemtrol, a brand of fifth-generation family-owned NIBCO INC. based in Elkhart, Indiana, manufactures a comprehensive line of thermoplastic flow-control products for corrosive and high-purity fluid handling. With over 60 years of industrial thermoplastics experience, Chemtrol produces valves, pipe, and fittings in four material systems: PVC (rated to 140°F), CPVC Corzan (210°F), polypropylene (180°F), and PVDF Kynar (280°F), each color-coded for identification. The valve line is anchored by the Tru-Bloc True Union ball valve (sizes 1/2–6 inch in socket, threaded, and flanged ends), featuring a one-piece seat carrier with energizer O-ring for automatic seat-wear compensation and PTFE seats across all materials. True Union construction allows cartridge removal without disconnecting piping. The Model-D series (1/2–2 inch) is rated at 250 psi at 73°F, while the Model-C series (3–6 inch) is rated at 150 psi. Butterfly valves include the Model-B (3–6 inch, wafer-style) for chemical service with 316 SS hex shaft insert-molded in PVC, and the Model-C (2–10 inch) for general water and potable water with NSF/ANSI 61 certification. Additional products include ball check valves (1/2–4 inch), multiport 3-way and 3-position true union valves (1/2–2 inch), angle and Y-pattern valves, needle valves, and Chemcock valves. All valves accept manual, pneumatic, or electric actuation. Pipe is offered in Schedule 40 and 80 from 1/2 to 6 inches, and fittings span 1/4 to 12 inches in socket ends and 1/4 to 4 inches in threaded ends, with joining by solvent cement, threading, flanging, or socket heat fusion. Elastomeric seal options include FKM (Viton) for broad chemical resistance and EPDM for alkaline and hydrochloric acid service.
