Charter Machine Company (CMC), a subsidiary of Graphic Equipment Corporation based in Metuchen, New Jersey, has over 75 years of precision machine manufacturing experience and traces its roots to GEC’s founding in 1968. CMC acquired Roediger technology and now produces a full line of wastewater biosolids management equipment, all manufactured in the USA. The dewatering lineup centers on the Sentry Regent, a 15-roll high-solids belt filter press described as an enlarged version of the standard 8-roll Sentry Press delivering increased cake solids. The Tower Press comes in three 2-belt configurations—TP12.41, TP12.43S, and TP17.43—designed in response to operator feedback. The Royal Screw Press rounds out the dewatering options. For thickening, CMC offers gravity belt thickeners and rotary drum thickeners (sieve drum concentrators). Drying is addressed by the ELODE Electro Osmosis Dehydrator, which reportedly reduces solids by 60% in three minutes, and an evaporative belt dryer. Mobile and temporary needs are served by dewatering trailers and skidmount systems, with rental equipment available for testing or short-term projects. CMC also manufactures belt and screw conveyors, dry and emulsion polymer systems, and lime post treatment systems including the RM240 unit and LFS600 lime feed system. Field service, aftermarket parts, equipment rebuilds, custom engineering, and in-house machine shop services are all offered from the Metuchen facility.
