CAMBI, Inc
About
Cambi ASA is a Norwegian public company and the world leader in thermal hydrolysis process (THP) technology for sewage sludge and organic waste treatment. The company's flagship product, CambiTHP, uses heat and high pressure to break down organic materials before anaerobic digestion, achieving three times higher digester throughput, up to 50% more biogas production, and a 50% reduction in final biosolids volume. CambiTHP is available in modular batch reactor configurations ranging from B2 (2 m³) to B12 (12 m³), processing from 1,500 to 32,000 metric tons of dry solids per year. The technology has been commercially proven since 1996, when the world's first full-scale THP plant was commissioned at Hias WWTP in Norway, and has since been deployed at major facilities including Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (Cog Moors and Birmingham-Minworth), DC Water (Washington, DC), and Medina County KWH WRF (Ohio, USA). Cambi holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications and provides end-to-end support from business case analysis through commissioning and operation.
