BIBKO Recycling Technologies GmbH
About
BIBKO Recycling Technologies GmbH, established in 1985 as B.I.B. GmbH and headquartered in Beilstein, Germany, designs and manufactures wet-mechanical recycling systems for mineral waste streams. With over 2,200 plants installed worldwide and more than 420,000 tonnes of material processed annually, BIBKO is a market leader in recovering reusable fractions from sewer cleaning residue, drilling slurry, street sweepings, sand trap material, and oil separator contents. The company's core technology is an integrated four-stage recycling process: material feeding via hopper or dosing buffer, wet-mechanical recycling in a washing chamber (available in single or dual-chamber configurations at 4–30 m³/h throughput), fine particle separation at 50–150 m³/h that recovers particles above 63 µm as reusable fine sand, and process water recycling via chamber filter press or centrifuge that closes the water loop. BIBKO rebranded from BIBKO Umwelt- und Reinigungstechnik GmbH in 2023 and operates the PLATZ division (acquired from Carl Platz GmbH in 2000) alongside its INFRA_TEC division established in 2017 for infrastructure-related waste streams. The company's systems reduce disposal costs and volume by converting mineral waste into secondary raw materials suitable as substitute building materials, while recycling process water to minimize fresh water consumption.
