Bang&Clean Technologies AG, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Othmarsingen, Switzerland, develops and manufactures patented pressure wave cleaning systems for industrial boilers and process equipment. The company was established by a team led by Markus Bürgin, who sought a safer alternative to manual boiler cleaning methods, and has since performed over 40,000 cleaning operations worldwide. Its core technology uses a combustible gas mixture ignited inside a high-tech material bag to generate controlled pressure waves that dislodge slag, ash, and deposits deep within tube bundles — without mechanical contact or plant shutdown. The mobile PressureWave+™ system has been the company's flagship product for over two decades, deployed across waste-to-energy, biomass, coal, gas combined-cycle, cement, paper, and refinery applications. In 2021, Bang&Clean introduced CloudEx™, a stationary automated system permanently installed on the boiler for continuous deep cleaning, offered under an all-in subscription model. A third tool, VIEW, provides consulting-grade boiler analysis to optimize cleaning schedules. The company holds ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications and operates through subsidiaries in Italy, the Benelux, France, and Asia, alongside licensed service providers covering Finland, the Nordics, UK, Germany, South Korea, and North America.
