Matrix Gemini manages the full sample lifecycle from collection through reporting, including scheduling of collection routes across multiple sample zones, bottle and container inventory assignment per sampling point, and web-based remote interfaces for field collectors using tablets. The quality control module features user-definable runsheets with QC bracketing rules that automatically pass or reject results based on surrounding control samples, built-in QC charting with dynamic limits adjustable from historic data, and support for spikes, duplicates, replicates, and control standards. Reporting capabilities include certificates of analysis, sample and test turnaround time reports, instrument workloads, and bottleneck analysis. The system supports water, wastewater, soil, air, gas, and leachate sample matrices. Compliance capabilities cover ISO 17025, GMP, GLP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11. A lighter variant, Matrix Gemini LIMS Express, serves smaller labs and startups. Notable deployments include WaterOne in Kansas serving approximately 400,000 people and The Water Lab in Ireland, an ISO 17025-accredited environmental contract laboratory.
