Atlantis Water Management
About
Atlantis Water Management is the North American commercial arm of Atlantis Corporation International, an Australian company founded in 1986 by landscape architect Humberto Urriola that invented the original drainage cell technology. Operating from Bellingham, Washington, the company manufactures stormwater management and green infrastructure products for urban water-sensitive design applications. The flagship Flo-Cell drainage cell line includes the 20mm variant with 90 percent void ratio and compressive strength up to 90 tonnes per square meter, the 30mm Flex for curved surfaces and tunnels, the 30mm Neo enhanced-performance model, and the 50mm deep-profile cell. Modular underground tank systems encompass the Mini Flo-Tank for void fill, the Flo-Tank for infiltration and detention, the Flo-Vault for water storage, and the Titan Tank for heavy-duty stormwater applications. Permeable paving products include Flo-Grid for vehicular loads and Turf Cell for grass reinforcement. Wall drainage is addressed by the Flo-Wall system for retaining walls and foundations, while trench drainage uses the Flo-Log and Flo-Pipe products. Specialty systems include the SPORTSDRY athletic field drainage system, Geo-Vault structural soil matrix made from 100 percent recycled plastics for urban tree root growth, and Gro-Wall vertical garden modules. The company also offers Flo-Arch vaulted pipeline and Stable Grid ground stabilization products. Markets served include commercial development, transportation infrastructure, sports facilities, and municipal green infrastructure programs.
Key Products
Modular plastic subsurface tank systems with 95% void space designed for rainwater infiltration, allowing stormwater to percolate into the ground and recharge natural aquifers.
Subsurface stormwater detention chambers that hold peak runoff temporarily and release it at controlled rates to reduce downstream flooding and erosion.
Complete systems for capturing, storing, and distributing roof or surface runoff for non-potable reuse applications such as irrigation, toilet flushing, and process water supply.
Modular plastic drainage cell panels installed beneath pavements and structures to provide a permeable void layer for subsurface horizontal drainage and stormwater routing.
Interlocking plastic grid paving product that allows rainwater to infiltrate through the surface into underlying storage tanks or ground, reducing impervious surface runoff.
Open-cell plastic grid system installed over soil or aggregate to stabilize ground surfaces under vehicular or pedestrian loads while maintaining soil porosity and drainage.
Plastic reinforcement structure installed beneath turf to protect grass roots and distribute loads, allowing grass to grow through openings while supporting vehicle and equipment traffic.
Purpose-designed subsurface drainage system for athletic fields that rapidly removes excess water from the playing surface to minimize downtime and surface deterioration.
Urban tree root growth support system composed of 100% recycled plastic structural cells filled with root-growing soil, allowing tree roots to expand beneath hardscape while supporting surface loads.
Linear subsurface drainage channel systems for collecting and routing surface and subsurface water along defined alignments in pavements and landscaping projects.
Drainage products installed against retaining walls, building foundations, and bridge abutments to relieve hydrostatic pressure and channel groundwater away from structures.
Modular systems for mounting plants on vertical surfaces for indoor and outdoor applications, integrating water distribution and drainage components for plant health.
Green roof growing media and drainage system components supporting vegetation on rooftops, reducing stormwater runoff while providing thermal insulation and urban greening benefits.
