atg UV Technology
About
atg UV Technology, now a Xylem brand following Xylem's 2023 acquisition of Evoqua Water Technologies, is a United Kingdom-based manufacturer of ultraviolet disinfection systems for water and wastewater treatment. Founded in 1981, the company has thousands of installations worldwide and specializes in chemical-free UV disinfection using closed-vessel (in-line) reactor designs. The current product portfolio includes the Wafer UV Generator, marketed as the world's most compact medium-pressure UV system at approximately one-third the footprint of comparable units, treating flows up to 5,000 m³/hr with validated doses from 12 to over 120 mJ/cm² RED and featuring the SPECTRA 3 control system with variable power stepping; the SX Model series (SX-225 through SX-1873) for medium-pressure inline disinfection of drinking water and industrial process water at flows from 10 to over 5,000 m³/hr; the SW Model series (SW-213 through SW-1850) for medium-pressure wastewater and process water disinfection at flows from 10 to over 2,000 m³/hr; the VX Range (Mini and Midi) low-pressure systems for industrial water disinfection; and the VT TOC Generator series for total organic carbon reduction and dechlorination in semiconductor and microelectronics water treatment. All atg UV systems feature TWISTLOK quick-release lamps, automatic chemical-free wiper systems, 9,000-hour lamp life, and 5-year quartz life. Systems are US EPA UVDGM-validated for Cryptosporidium and Giardia inactivation and NWRI-validated for water reuse applications.
