ATEC Water
About
ATEC Water Systems, LLC, operating as a Cadiz subsidiary from its Hollister, California manufacturing facility, has over 30 years of experience building vertical water filtration systems for contaminated groundwater. The company's vertical filter design costs roughly one-third of conventional horizontal systems and comes fully packaged with automatic unattended backwash cycles, 24/7 remote monitoring, and maintenance requirements as low as four visits per year. ATEC pioneered the first US municipal iron and manganese removal system using dioxide media and the first US arsenic removal installation using granular ferric hydroxide. The company also developed a proprietary chromium-6 removal process achieving a 50 percent cost reduction over conventional approaches and claims the leading high-rate biological ammonia removal process in the United States. Additional treatment capabilities include PFAS, boron, and nitrate removal. Systems scale from 10 GPM for small communities to 60 MGD for large public utilities. Over 450 installations operate across the western United States, Canada, and Sri Lanka, with approximately 90 percent addressing iron and manganese. Every system is pilot tested and custom-engineered for site-specific water quality. Services include pilot testing, feasibility studies, onsite installation, and remote monitoring.
