Assmann Corporation of America manufactures rotationally molded polyethylene tanks and accessories from facilities in Garrett, Indiana and Marshall, Texas. The company is the first and only polyethylene tank manufacturer to hold ISO 9001:2015 certification, supported by in-house ultrasonic thickness testing, gel testing, and impact testing, with each tank tracked through production via a quality control and routing card linking manufacture date, raw material lot numbers, and processing times. Assmann also maintains NSF certification requiring extensive product and material testing. The product line includes vertical storage tanks, full drain outlet tanks, double wall containment tanks, conical bottom tanks for sediment drainage, horizontal storage tanks, chemical feed stations, secondary containment basins, and open top tanks, plus custom molded products engineered to specification. Accessories span fittings, heat tracing and insulation packages, restraint and tie-down systems, and manways and lids. A proprietary rotational molding process uses end-over-end oven rotation with convection heat from an adjacent stationary furnace, followed by controlled gradual cooling in separate chambers to complete cross-linking throughout the tank wall. Markets served include water and wastewater treatment, chemical storage, aviation and aerospace, agriculture and food, automotive, fire protection, mining, petroleum, and marine.
