Aquarius Spectrum Ltd.
About
Aquarius Spectrum (AQS) is an Israeli technology company founded in 2009 at the Kinrot incubator, now part of the Aliaxis Group following a 2022 acquisition. AQS specializes in acoustic water leak detection and pipeline condition assessment, deploying solutions across five continents with customers including American Water, SUEZ, PUB Singapore, A2A Ciclo Idrico, and Veolia. The company holds 21 patents and has saved over 10 billion gallons of water globally. AQS's core technology, Multi-Spectral Correlating Sensors, differs fundamentally from traditional noise loggers by requiring 3 to 15 correlations before issuing an alert, achieving leak pinpointing within plus or minus 3 meters and detecting leaks as small as 0.5 GPM below background noise. The sensor portfolio includes three product lines: AQS-Sense (3G/4G cellular) in aboveground, belowground, and hydrophone configurations; AQS-Edge (CAT-M/NB-IoT) in matching configurations for lower power consumption; and AQS-Ultra in four variants including an internal accelerometer, external accelerometer, hydrophone, and aboveground model. The iQ100B portable sensor enables survey-based detection without permanent installation. Each night, sensors record audio samples transmitted via cellular networks to the cloud-based AQS-SYS platform, which performs automated correlation analysis between sensor pairs and generates GIS-mapped leak alerts with size classifications. The system monitors over 3,000 km of pipes daily with no limitations on pipe material or diameter, and hydrophone variants handle large-diameter transmission mains of 24 inches and above. AQS also offers Human-as-a-Service (HaaS) ongoing expert analysis and pipe condition assessment reports.
Key Products
Fixed aboveground acoustic correlating sensor that attaches to fire hydrants and valves, records nightly audio samples, and transmits via 3G/4G cellular to the cloud platform for automated leak correlation.
Fixed belowground acoustic correlating sensor installed on buried valves and fittings for continuous pipeline monitoring in areas where aboveground installation is not feasible.
Hydrophone sensor variant for detecting leaks in large-diameter transmission mains (24 inches and above) where accelerometer sensors are less effective.
Next-generation aboveground correlating sensor using CAT-M and NB-IoT cellular connectivity for lower power consumption and broader deployment coverage.
Next-generation belowground correlating sensor with CAT-M/NB-IoT connectivity for continuous monitoring of buried pipeline infrastructure.
Next-generation hydrophone sensor with CAT-M/NB-IoT connectivity for large-diameter pipe monitoring with extended battery life.
High-sensitivity accelerometer sensor for precise leak detection on standard-diameter pipes with advanced correlation capabilities.
Internally-mounted accelerometer sensor inserted into the pipeline for direct contact acoustic monitoring of pipe conditions.
Ultra-sensitive hydrophone sensor for large-diameter transmission main monitoring with enhanced low-frequency detection capability.
Ultra-performance aboveground sensor combining advanced multi-spectral correlation with higher sensitivity for challenging network conditions.
Portable acoustic sensor for periodic survey-based leak detection sweeps, enabling utilities to conduct area sampling without permanent sensor installation.
Cloud-based analytics platform that receives nightly sensor data, performs automated multi-spectral correlation analysis between sensor pairs, classifies leaks by size, maps locations on GIS, and provides pipe condition assessment reports.
Dedicated customer success team providing ongoing expert analysis, data interpretation, and operational support for utility customers using AQS leak detection systems.
