AquaMetrix
About
AquaMetrix, a product line of Water Analytics, Inc., has manufactured water quality instrumentation for over 50 years, originating as Lisle-Metrix—a Canadian licensee of Great Lakes Instruments’ differential pH/ORP sensor technology—before rebranding to AquaMetrix in 1998 and establishing Water Analytics in the United States in 2010. The company’s founding innovation, the differential pH/ORP sensor, splits the reference and measuring electrodes and references both to a common titanium ground electrode, eliminating ground loop errors and enabling indefinite reference electrode rejuvenation. The 60-series differential pH/ORP sensors remain a cornerstone product, engineered to survive for years in hostile environments where conventional sensors last only months. Conductivity measurement spans the AM Series stainless-steel sensors (reintroduced after a brief hiatus) and the AS Series, which covers the widest range on the market—from ultra-pure water to brine—in both contacting and toroidal configurations. Dissolved oxygen sensing includes both Clark (membrane) and optical DO sensor types, with annual rather than weekly membrane replacement. The AM-TBR turbidity sensor and AM-FOG fats, oils, and grease level sensor address monitoring needs in aeration basins and sewer lift stations. Controllers include the 2300 web-connected unit (four analog inputs, three flow sensor inputs, data logging, four relays, and email alerting—described as PLC power at a fraction of SCADA cost) and the 2250 third-generation single-input controller, plus the Shark multi-parameter controller and Shark TX transmitter. AquaMetrix serves municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, aquaculture, food and beverage, HVAC cooling tower, and industrial process markets including plating, pulp and paper, textile, chemical manufacturing, and desalination.
