Aquachem GmbH Separationstechnik
About
AQUACHEM GmbH Separationstechnik is a German filter press manufacturer founded in 1996 by James Babbé in Senden, Bavaria, with origins dating to 1991 when Babbé delivered his first three fully automatic filter presses to cement manufacturer Dyckerhoff. With 30+ employees and approximately €8 million in annual revenue, the company has sold over 1,000 filter presses, of which 190 are fully automatic. AQUACHEM’s flagship AF Series membrane filter press operates personnel-free with sealed filter plates that prevent uncontrolled leakage, achieving over 98% machine availability with continuous filter cake production and discharge. The product line extends through the EC Series manual/semi-automatic chamber filter presses rated to 15 bar, the EC-Beverage variant with stainless steel construction for food and pharmaceutical applications, the lightweight LC Series rated to 7 bar, compact LC 320 and LCM 320 models for smaller projects and mobile use, and the AC Series semi-automatic presses. All models feature sealed filter plates as standard for a clean and safe working environment. In July 2022, AQUACHEM deepened its cooperation with Roxia Oy, expanding service and distribution capabilities. The company offers consultation, laboratory and pilot filtration testing, delivery, assembly, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance and spare parts support. Applications span industrial wastewater treatment, electroplating, chemical processing, flue gas cleaning, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, lignin production, and waste-to-energy.
