Amppera, based in Be'er Sheva, Israel, designs and manufactures large industrial electric motors and provides comprehensive motor repair services. Operating from a 5,000 sqm facility with a 70-person team, the company evolved from Hashal-Motor with over 50 years of motor industry heritage. Their vertical motor line spans three platforms — CH/CV 5800 (300–1,200 HP), CH/CV 6800 (600–2,500 HP), and CH/CV 8800 (600–3,500 HP) — each rated up to 65,000 lbs down thrust and engineered for deep well turbine pump applications at depths exceeding 2,000 ft. All vertical motors achieve IE4 efficiency standard (IE5 available) with Class H insulation, copper rotors, and NEMA/API 610 compliance. Horizontal motors are built on two platforms: CT450 (800–2,500 HP) and CT500 (600–9,000 HP), with voltages from 690 V to 6.6 kV and IP23/IP55 protection. A custom non-reverse ratchet (NRR) system prevents reverse rotation in deep well installations. Amppera's service division offers in-shop repair including dynamic balancing up to 40 tons, laser cutting for lamination repair, winding services up to 60,000 HP, pump and blower repair, and boiler circulation pump repair. On-site field services include vibration and thermal monitoring, laser alignment (0.01 mm accuracy), and mobile electrical diagnostic labs for partial discharge, tangent delta, and surge testing. Named clients include Mekorot, Intel, Siemens, and the Israel Electric Corporation. All motors carry a 4-year warranty.
