About

American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST), founded in 1991 and headquartered in Mt. Olive, New Jersey, specializes in pressure transducers and transmitters built on their proprietary Krystal Bond Technology — a process that molecularly diffuses inorganic materials onto metallic surfaces to create high-performance pressure sensing elements from a single piece of stainless steel, eliminating oil fills, welds, and internal O-rings. Now part of TE Connectivity, AST's product lines include the AST4500/AST4510 submersible pressure sensors rated IP-68 for groundwater level monitoring, wastewater canal measurement, and liquid tank applications (0-5 PSI to 0-100 PSI ranges); the AST4400 intrinsically safe pressure transmitter with UL/cUL 913 Class 1 Div 1 approval for hazardous environments (0-25 PSI to 0-10,000 PSI); the AST20HA precision transducer achieving ±0.1% BFSL accuracy with ranges up to 45,000 PSI and ABS marine approval; and the AST5400 differential pressure transducer with a 15:1 turndown ratio for filtration monitoring and flow measurement. All Krystal Bond sensors deliver over 100 million pressure cycle life with IP-66 protection standard. AST holds ISO 9001:2015 certification with UL and CSA approvals across oil and gas, water management, chemical processing, and HVAC industries.
