Amber Science
About
Amber Science, Inc., based in Eugene, Oregon, designs and manufactures conductivity instrumentation for measuring conductivity, resistivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), high-purity water, salinity, and temperature in aqueous solutions. The company offers both portable field instruments and bench-top laboratory meters alongside a range of conductivity cells and calibration accessories. Their flagship bench-top instrument, the Model 3082 Digital Multi-Function Conductivity Meter, features microprocessor-based auto-ranging across six conductivity ranges (0.001 µS to 330 mS), a 16-character dot matrix LCD, automatic temperature compensation, and optional RS-232 and analog recorder output. The Model 3082-S variant adds salinity and high-purity water measurement capabilities. The Model 1056 is a portable digital conductivity meter designed for field use. Amber Science also manufactures a variety of conductivity cells including dip cells (Models 525 and 825 in platinum; Models 535 and 815 in gold-plated), multi-purpose cells (Models 545 and 865), and flow-through cells (Model 529 stainless steel micro flow cell and Model 829 macro flow cell). Supporting accessories include alarm boxes, cell switch boxes, function verifiers, and platinizing stations. Their instruments serve environmental monitoring, water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, marine geochemistry, and chromatography applications including HPLC and ion chromatography conductivity detection. Note: Amber Science products appear to have been discontinued as of recent distributor listings.
