AFAB Enterprises, founded in 1992 and headquartered in Eustis, Florida, designs and manufactures precision refractometers and turbidity monitoring instruments for industrial process control. The company was founded on the principle that facilities need accurate, reliable, and repeatable refractometer equipment without spending tens of thousands on over-specified instruments. AFAB's flagship product is the PR-111 In-Line Process Refractometer, which provides continuous monitoring of dissolved solids concentration with temperature compensation, a 4-20 mA output for PLC or DCS integration, a stainless steel sensing head with sapphire prism, and NEMA 4-rated construction. The PR-1000 extends this inline refractometry capability for higher-demand process applications. For suspended solids monitoring, the PTM-2000 Turbidity Monitor measures turbidity in process streams using a visible LED light source with automatic gain control and silicon detector, sharing the same robust NEMA 4 housing and 4-20 mA output. AFAB also offers Abbe 3L benchtop refractometers, the Abbe AR-001, Palm Abbe digital handheld refractometers, Brix refractometers, hand refractometers, chemically inert immersion probes, and A-1696 process adapters.
