Aeromix Systems Incorporated
About
AEROMIX Systems, Inc. was a manufacturer of aeration and mixing equipment for water and wastewater treatment, founded in 1987 and formerly headquartered in Golden Valley, Minnesota. The company's product line was built around weather-themed brand names for surface and subsurface aerators. The Tornado was a self-aspirating surface aerator available from 2 to 100 HP, designed for horizontal mixing and aeration in wastewater treatment lagoons with float or bracket mounting options. The Hurricane submersible aspirator aerator, also rated 2 to 100 HP, provided 360-degree radial mixing for digesters, equalization tanks, and aeration basins. The Twister low-speed aerator operated at 2 to 150 HP as a partially submerged rotating turbine for wastewater, leachate, and SBR applications. The Typhoon high-speed surface aerator delivered 2 to 100 HP with high pumping rates and intense air-to-water mixing. The Monsoon horizontal surface aerator (2 to 40 HP) featured an all-stainless-steel brush rotor with a gyro gear reducer and adjustable floatation for blade submergence control. Additional products included the Breeze low-profile mass transfer system for air stripping and scrubbing, Cyclone coarse bubble diffuser piping systems, Mist package diffused air systems, Zephyr induced air flotation units (1/3 to 5 HP), and Riptide direct-drive surface mixers. AEROMIX also offered fine and coarse bubble diffusers, reverse osmosis purification units, potable and package water treatment plants, and fountain and pond aeration systems. Notable clients included the US Army Corps of Engineers, Halliburton, Kellogg Brown and Root, and Coca-Cola. Note: the company's website (aeromix.com) is no longer active.
