Advanced Calibration Designs Inc.
About
Advanced Calibration Designs (ACD) is a US manufacturer of portable calibration gas generation instruments, founded in 1988. ACD's instruments produce NIST-traceable certified calibration gases on demand, providing a safer, more cost-effective, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional compressed gas cylinders for calibrating gas detection monitors. Their product lineup includes the GENie EC, a compact electrochemical calibrator with interchangeable gas cells, adjustable concentration from 0.5 to 50 PPM (up to 100 PPM extended range), and demand-flow capability at 0.2 to 1.0 LPM with plus or minus 5 to 10 percent accuracy. The GENie O3 generates ozone calibration gas with adjustable output from 0.2 to 1.0 PPM and CE certification. The CAL 2000 is a microprocessor-controlled instrument with LCD display, field-adjustable concentration and flow, interchangeable generating cells, and both CE and ATEX explosive atmosphere certifications, producing up to 100 times more gas than a disposable cylinder. The CAL 2000LT is a lighter variant of the CAL 2000. The MiniBump is the smallest and lightest calibration gas source, intrinsically safe and shirt-pocket sized, equivalent to approximately five cylinders per source. The QC-50 uses QuickCheck Vial technology with non-hazardous sealed glass ampoules for bump testing, and the GENie QC-1 is their newest ammonia calibration instrument using sealed glass ampoule technology. Supported gases include ammonia, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, hydrogen chloride, hexane, and toluene. ACD products are distributed through AFC International.
