ACUMIX, Inc. is a US manufacturer of industrial mixers and tank agitators headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, producing equipment from 1/4 to 100 horsepower across five major configurations. Their lines include cup-plate and swivel-clamp direct-drive portable mixers (5/8–3/4" shaft), clamp-mounted gear-drive portable mixers with pneumatic or electric motors (3/4–1.5" shaft), the AQW-series base-plate right-angle drive mixers (1.5–2.5" shaft), double-helical reduction agitators (2–3" shaft) for viscous service, and bung-mount drum mixers (5/8–3/4" shaft) for 55-gallon drums and IBC totes. Closed-tank sealing spans hermetically sealed base plates with 150# ANSI flanged and tri-clamp ferrule designs, low-pressure stuffing boxes, V-ring lip seals, and single/double mechanical seals. Impeller options include hydrofoil designs for high-flow/low-shear blending, flocculation, and solids suspension; high-shear dispersers for emulsions; and turbine impellers for flash mixing and neutralization. ACUMIX gear drives carry minimum 100,000-hour L10 bearing life and AGMA service factors of 1.5. Water and wastewater applications specifically addressed include flash/rapid mixing, flocculation, polymer and lime slurry make-down, neutralization, equalization, scum mixing, sludge mixing, aeration, anoxic mixing, and anaerobic digestion.
