Acrison Inc., headquartered in Moonachie, New Jersey, has manufactured dry solids metering and handling equipment for over 50 years, serving food processing, chemical, plastics, and water and wastewater treatment markets. The company is an OEM designing and producing its own branded volumetric and gravimetric feeders, bin dischargers, blenders, and integrated control systems. For water and wastewater treatment specifically — a market Acrison has served for over 45 years — the company provides dry chemical feed systems that accurately meter hydrated lime, powdered activated carbon, soda ash, potassium permanganate, sodium fluoride, sodium silico-fluoride, and other treatment chemicals. The Model W-105 Series volumetric feeder uses a Dissimilar Speed Double Concentric Auger mechanism with a large Conditioning Auger (Intromitter) surrounding a smaller Metering Auger, both driven by a single variable-speed gearmotor. The Model BDF-1.5 volumetric feeder employs a triple auger mechanism for simpler feed applications. For polymer preparation, Acrison offers the Model 500 high-capacity dry polymer system with cyclone wetting chamber, the Model 515 low-to-moderate capacity dry/liquid polymer system, the Model 530 liquid polymer blender, and the Model 580 liquid polymer system with a patented Dispersion-Injector that instantaneously blends liquid polymer with water through a two-stage activation process. Supporting equipment includes bulk bag unloaders, dust collectors with bag dump stations, dissolving tanks, wetting cones, and fully integrated silo storage and feeding systems. Acrison also manufactures continuous blenders, bin vent filters, and multi-feeder controllers, and provides lab demonstrations, customer training, and application-specific evaluation at its Moonachie facility.
