Acme Engineering Products Ltd., founded in 1956 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, is an integrated manufacturer of custom-engineered industrial equipment across three principal product divisions: electric boilers, automatic strainers and filtration systems, and gas detection systems. The company maintains in-house mechanical, electrical, and electronic manufacturing capabilities, producing proprietary components such as wedgewire screen internals for its strainer line. Acme's electric boiler division, manufacturing since 1963, offers low-voltage element boilers, superheaters, and auxiliary boilers, as well as high-voltage electrode boilers through its partner A.E.P. Thermal Inc. with capacities exceeding 50 MW and distribution voltages up to 25 kV. A manufacturing partnership with Zhejiang Shangneng Boiler Co. in China produces HV electrode boilers under Acme technology with multiple patented designs. For water and wastewater applications, Acme's strainer and filtration division — producing since the mid-1980s — is the most directly relevant, offering automatic scraper strainers, backwash strainers, basket strainers, FRP pressure vessels, and reverse osmosis systems. Strainers are available in carbon steel, stainless steel, Alloy 20, Monel 400, and Super Duplex, handling solids from 150 mm down to 50 microns with connection sizes from 1 to 48 inches. The gas detection division supplies 4-to-256-point panels, wireless and RS-485 networks, standalone detectors, and sample draw units for CO and NO2 monitoring.
