AccuStandard, Inc
About
Founded in 1986 by Michael and Alice Bolgar in New Haven, Connecticut, AccuStandard manufactures Certified Reference Materials for analytical chemistry, maintaining a catalog of over 12,000 reference standards and more than 30,000 custom formulations. The company was the first to synthesize all 209 PCB congeners and all PBDE congeners, employing PhD chemists in their synthesis department and quality control laboratory. Their organic standards portfolio includes PFAS reference materials, PCB congener mixes, pesticide and herbicide standards, VOC and semi-VOC mixes, flame retardant standards covering PBDE, BFR, and PFR compounds, and nitrosamine standards. The inorganic division produces ICP and ICP-MS single and multi-element standards, atomic absorption standards, ion chromatography standards, matrix modifiers, and wet chemical reagents. Petrochemical standards cover physical properties, sulfur analysis, detailed hydrocarbon analysis, simulated distillation, biofuels, TPH and fuel characterization, and wear metals in lubricating oils. Cannabis testing standards round out the catalog. All CRMs are produced under ISO 17034:2016, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and ISO 9001:2015 certifications, aligned to EPA, ASTM, AOAC, ISO, USP, DIN, and state-specific analytical methods. AccuStandard ships to over 135 countries worldwide. For water and wastewater applications, their environmental reference standards provide the calibration and quality control materials that underpin EPA Methods for drinking water compliance monitoring, wastewater discharge permitting, and environmental contaminant analysis, from PFAS and VOC methods to metals and ion chromatography.
