Absolute Process Instruments, Inc. (API), based in Libertyville, Illinois, has designed and manufactured industrial signal conditioners, transmitters, isolators, and converters since 1988. All API products carry a Made in USA designation and are produced at their Libertyville facility. Their flagship signal conditioner, the APD 8000, accepts universal inputs including mADC, VDC, 13 thermocouple types, 15 RTD configurations, 7 thermistor ranges, and potentiometer signals with free I/O range setup. The product line extends through loop isolators and power supplies, frequency I/O modules, math modules, the IsoSplitter signal splitter, and DuoPak dual-channel conditioners. Temperature measurement offerings cover thermocouple converters (APD 41390), head-mount transmitters, and RTD indicators. For process control, API manufactures strain gauge and load cell amplifiers (APD 4059), valve positioners, current sensors and switches (CSAC series), and pressure-to-current converters. The Cecomp brand provides digital pressure and vacuum gauges including the DPG1000B and DPG2000 aircraft-rated models and CTP3B transmitter. API also distributes complementary brands: Seneca for K-Line 6mm transmitters with ModBUS, CANopen, and Ethernet protocols; Camille Bauer for Kinax position transducers and Sineax power monitors; and APCS for specialty signal conditioners.
