ABASCO LLC, founded in 1975 and now part of Atlas-SSI, designs and manufactures sediment and environmental spill containment products from a 30,000 sq ft facility in Humble, Texas. The company holds ISO 9001:2000 certification and serves over 3,330 customers across six continents. Their wastewater treatment product line features five types of floating baffles — Light Duty, Medium Duty, Heavy Duty, Clearwell, and Tank baffles — all engineered with UV and chemical-resistant fabrics to create serpentine flow patterns that extend hydraulic retention time and improve treatment performance under severe conditions. Their industrial skimmer portfolio includes Rotary, Rope-Mop, and Weir skimmers with varying recovery capacities and power configurations for oil removal from wastewater basins. On the environmental spill response side, ABASCO manufactures Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 Turbidity Curtains plus E-Curtains for sediment control during marine construction and dredging, alongside containment booms in conventional, inflatable, self-inflating (Neo), permanent (Sigma), harbor/layflat, and shoreline configurations. They also produce temporary storage solutions including frame-erected tanks, self-erecting tanks, air-inflated berms, spill berms, and floating towable bladders. All products are designed and tested to ASTM and OPA 90 standards.
