3M, through its water filtration and separation division — now transitioning branding from legacy 3M and Cuno identities to the Aqua-Pure name — manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of water treatment products spanning residential, commercial foodservice, and industrial process applications. The residential Aqua-Pure line includes whole-house filtration systems (AP1610 stainless steel, AP900 and AP800 series, SST and SS-EPE series), under-sink drinking water systems (AP Easy Cyst-FF, AP200), and the AP430SS scale inhibition unit dosing polyphosphates at 2-3 ppm to prevent limescale buildup. For commercial applications, the ScaleGard platform delivers reverse osmosis and hardness reduction systems tailored for espresso, steam, and warewashing applications. The High Flow Series provides cartridge filtration for coffee, tea, and ice machines. Industrial and process filtration products include Zeta Plus depth filter media discs, MicroPES knitted polyethersulfone mats, and LifeASSURE pleated and depth filter cartridges for pharmaceutical and manufacturing process water. The former Cuno in-line filtration portfolio rounds out the offering with cartridge-based systems for foodservice beverage and process water treatment. Note: some 3M water filtration products are migrating to Solventum, the healthcare company spun off from 3M in 2024.
